For a less dusty approach, use a sanding block to roughen up a smooth surface.
Creating a sample piece with your color recipe is a valuable learning experience.
Seal concrete countertops with tinted mixed epoxy. Apply 1 ounce of mixed epoxy per square foot using a shower squeegee and gloved hand.
Sanding with 220 grit and cleaning up dust with 91% Isopropyl alcohol and paper towels.
Color Coat: Mix 3 ounces per square foot. Divide epoxy into mixing cups, and blend in various color additives with a mixing stick.
Randomly pour the mixed metallic, white, and black epoxy onto your project.
Use your fingers to break surface tension, allowing the different epoxy colors to blend, leaving no bare areas on your countertop.
We used a torn piece of cardboard with light pressure to drag metallic epoxy over the white and black base-tinted epoxy.
Apply accent fracture lines with Gold Metallic epoxy and a paint stick.
Mix and meld more accent colors into your project as desired. Use a heat gun on the epoxy for stunning effects.
Sanding with 220 grit after 24 hours, then mix 3 ounces per square foot of clear epoxy.
